Scottish International Photography Festival
Summerhall, Edinburgh 18 June - 31 July 2017
Retina Scottish International Photography Festival celebrates the very best of photography. Retina Site.
It is an inclusive festival which aims to encourage more people to take an active interest in the art form and to be inspired by a varied range of different types of photography, that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to see. Each year Retina presents a programme of high quality exhibitions, which are always free to attend.
Professional photographer, Bryn Griffiths FBIPP QEP, chose ChromaLuxe prints for his exhibition at Retina. The prints, mainly 90 x 120cm in size, were produced by top UK lab, Loxley Colour, based near Glasgow.
The images contrast a high tech shoot by Bryn of a £12,000 Condor bicycle and his disturbing Hasselblad Masters shoot of Chernobyl, 30 years after the catastrophic disaster.
This is what Bryn had to say when he saw the prints:
"I'm a perfectionist and when it came to choosing the right surface for my exhibition, there really was only one choice..... ChromaLuxe. When I first saw the amazing prints I was blown away with the quality of them....... My work is all about lighting and colour and I have to say the colour rendition is fantastic and the blacks are so intense that you almost get drawn into the picture. From now on ChromaLuxe will be my first choice every time".
